September is more than halfway over, so I’ve got to start planning October’s fitness challenge! Mark your calendar for October 5!
Saturday football, pumpkin spice, and cool mornings and evenings are here, so FALL must be here too! October is a fantastic last chance to get your fitness habits and eating plan solidified before the holidays come in to tempt us. A treat here and there isn’t bad if you’re overall habits are healthy. So let’s do this together!
My challenge groups last for 21 days and are run through closed Facebook groups to protect your privacy. The group is the ‘secret sauce’ for success, keeping your focused and supported through your fitness challenge. We share recipes, encouragement, and more.
The 21 days matches up perfectly with my favorite workout, the 21 Day Fix and Fix Extreme, but you can join with any of the Beachbody workouts like CIZE, Insanity, P90X, PiYo, Body Beast,… (the list goes on!). Just yell at me, and we will find the right one for you!

Pumpkin Protein Pancakes
1/4 cup (plus a little) of puréed pumpkin (not pie filling, 100% pumpkin)
1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology or protein powder
1 large egg
1 tsp-ish of vanilla extract
Dashes of pumpkin pie spice and/or cinnamon
Drizzle of honey or pure maple syrup
Mix the pumpkin, protein, eggs, vanilla, and spices until smooth. Heat a pan with a little oil. I used coconut. Spoon 3 inch pancakes. You can get about 4 from the mix. Small is better because they can tear when you flip. Top with a little bit of honey or maple syrup. You could also add a few chopped pecans or walnuts.
Fix count: 1/3 Green, 1&1/2 Red, tsps for your topping

This one is super special as it includes daily devotions on faith and fitness topics. It’s also open for EVERYONE. You do not have to be doing a Beachbody program. The group does run for 21 days and the devotions are designed to match up to the length of the 21 Day Fix programs. But this group is open for this special month. Anyone looking for support, accountability, and spiritual refreshment is welcome to join!
